Touching base!

I have not posted anything since Christmas.  Boy time flies by.  I have been busy with Weston and Ryan  playing basketball and Mallory cheerleader for church Upward Basketball.  I would not have missed the Saturdays that I got to go see them.  It is such a nice experience for them to play as a team and give it their best.  It really does build character and sportsmanship!  It is about to come to a close.  Now the baseball season starts and they are already practicing.  Looking forward to seeing those games too.

Anna, our daughter-in-law, had her Birthday on February 15th....I made some cupcakes for her to celebrate!  I thought they turned out very pretty.  My first attempt at using a large icing tip.  I will never ice cupcakes the usual way.  It made it so easy and turned out so pretty.  I made some good butter cream icing.  It really is easy.....one stick of butter, 1/4 cup of shortening, 1 tsp. vanilla flavor, 4 T milk and 4 cups of XX Sugar.  I divided the icing into three bowls to color each a different color.  I used a zip lock sandwich bag to put icing in and have since bought the Wilton bags.  Also I learned a tip to take an ice cream dipper to dip the cake batter to put into each tin cup.  It measures just the right amount and the cupcake are even.

Last but not least, I also had my Birthday February 22.  Anna returned the favor and made me some coconut macaroons.  Oh my were they delicious!!  I got a pretty potted flower arrangement from Holly, our oldest daughter in NY.  It was such a surprise and I am still enjoying them.

I know it is not a lot to share, but I just wanted to touch base and hope all are doing well!!
